Balancing between moments of chaos and order, THE PLAGUE OF DESIRE explores a confounding storm of feelings, sensations and ideas that surround the theme of desire. In the work, three female dancers embody, mock, and expand on the stream of conscious like confession of a young man caught between his beastly urges, his crippling guilt and his ideals of empathy. Jahman Davine constructs a cathartic dance/theatre-meditation, which urges one to examine their personal relationships, and assumed ideas around desire and empathy.
